Side mounted stair spindles, also called face-fixed or stringer-mounted balusters, attach to the outer face of the staircase. Tread mounted stair spindles attach to the top of the stair tread. Fixings, offsets and handrail connections vary by design, so check the individual listing and dimension drawing.

What should I measure before ordering?

Record the required spindle length, the stair flight and landing dimensions, and the mounting arrangement. Your installer should confirm the quantity, spacing and suitability for your project. Contact us if you need a custom length.

Are balusters the same as stair spindles?

Yes. Both terms describe the upright components below the handrail. Choose your design by its dimensions, finish and fixing method as well as its appearance.
