INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (Hidden Fix)
For a secure and invisible installation, follow these steps:
Positioning: Hold the door knocker firmly against your door in the desired final position. Mark the exact centre points for the two threaded bolts (one for the main knocker, one for the bottom dome strike piece) on your door. Ensure the knocker hangs straight.
Drilling Holes:
Using a 6 mm drill bit, carefully drill pilot holes at each marked center point.
Drill to a depth of 12-15 mm. It's helpful to wrap a piece of tape around your drill bit as a depth guide.
Applying Adhesive:
Apply a generous amount of strong, weather-resistant epoxy adhesive (e.g., Araldite Standard or a similar two-part epoxy specifically for metal-to-wood bonds) into each drilled hole.
Also, apply a thin layer to the back surface of both the main knocker's mounting plate and the bottom dome strike piece where they will meet the door.
Insertion:
Carefully push the M6 threaded bolt from the main door knocker into its corresponding hole.
Repeat the process for the M6 threaded bolt on the bottom dome strike piece.
Setting & Curing:
Press both parts firmly against the door, ensuring they are perfectly aligned and level.
Hold in place or use masking tape to secure the knocker while the adhesive cures.
Allow the adhesive to cure fully for at least 24 hours (or as per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions) before using the knocker.
